Basic Mass Casualty & Active Shooter Response is an 8-hour course developed by Frontline Response to teach Church Security Teams, CCW carriers, schoolteachers, and EMS responders how to confidently and competently respond to an active killer event, whether it be a “lone wolf” attack or a largescale terrorist event. ACS Stop the Bleed certification is offered as part of this class. While being beneficial even for licensed EMS responders, this class focuses on simplifying the processes involved in assessing, triaging, and staging the victims of the attack while providing for security for the duration of the response, both for the victims and the responders. The morning is spend on learning the skills and equipment used while the afternoon is devoted to hands-on scenario-based training to build the muscle memory required to effectively respond to these chaotic events.
