Intermediate Mass Casualty & Active Shooter Response is an 8-hour course developed by Frontline Response to build on the skills taught in Basic Mass Casualty & Active Shooter Response, which is a prerequisite to this class. This class builds on where the Basic class left off, giving more hands-on practice with Triage, patient movement, lifting/carrying victims, vehicle loads/extractions, and transitioning between dynamic and covert response to the incident.
This is not a firearms, fighting, or CQB class, though some pointers may be given or questions answered as needed. No real weapons will be used in this training. For more instruction in firearms use or CQB, go to our Church Security class taught in coordination with Tactical Kingdom Defense or the classes taught by Defenders USA.
Topics include:
- SMARCH
- Refresh and build upon topics covered in Basic Mass Casualty and Active Shooter Response course, focusing more time on hands-on repetitions
- Stopping the killing vs. stopping the dying – dynamic transitions
- RAMP Triage
- 360° weapons handling
- Simulation weapons
